Dr. Preston Pouteaux is a family man, beekeeper and an engaging speaker, writer, and curator of conversations about faith and neighbourhoods. Since 2015 his syndicated column, “Into the Neighbourhood”, has been printed over two million times in weekly newspapers. Preston Pouteaux is no stranger to most. Through his involvement in the community and his leadership at Lakeridge Community Church where he is the senior pastor. He shares his unique insights into our world just outside our door – our neighbours!! He is a best-selling author that lives right here in Chestermere with his wife Kelly, and their daughters Scotia and Ivy. Brett Leonty is a depression survivor, health and fitness coach, business owner, entrepreneur, and father of two. He has made his home in and around Chestermere and Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
He owns and operates Strong & Free Fitness where he helps individuals reach their potential and get in better shape both physically and mentally.
Jessica Machan
Jessica Machan is a local Chestermere resident, who is passionate about poetry, self-expression and mental health advocacy. Born in Ontario, she grew up between Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Her poetry embraces the dark side of pain; while simultaneously allowing release, healing and self-love. She would love to hear from anyone who has read her work in the future, and the impact it has had on them.
Her second book of poetry is aimed to publish at the end of summer 2023, with her goal being a series of three.
