
Let’s make this Canada Day one to remember at John Peake Park! Whether you’re a long-time resident or just passing through, join us on Monday, July 1, for a day packed with festivities that celebrate the heart and soul of our nation and our beloved city.
Rain or shine, here’s what’s in store for you:
Free Pancake Breakfast: Kick off your day right from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with delicious pancakes!
Stage Performances: From 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., our stage will be buzzing with Indigenous dance, mesmerizing magic, vibrant cultural performances, and toe-tapping musical acts.

Family Fun: Round up the family for an afternoon of fun from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy games, wagon rides, balloon artists, glitter tattoos, and the whimsical antics of stilt walkers!
Food Trucks & Market Vendors: Fill your belly with delicious treats from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. as food trucks line up alongside market vendors offering unique finds.
Craft Beer Garden: Cheers to good times from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. with a selection of brews from Chestermere’s own Township 24 Brewery to tantalize your taste buds.
Cobbs Adventure Park Petting Zoo: Get up close and personal with adorable critters from 3 – 5 p.m.!
Free Birthday Cake: Join us at 1 p.m. for a slice of birthday cake as we celebrate Canada’s special day! Fireworks (Weather Permitting): Cap off the night with a dazzling display of fireworks starting at 10:30 p.m. It’s a fan favorite you won’t want to miss!

Please note: The boat launch will be closed all day on July 1, for Canada Day celebrations. Additionally, parking at the Chestermere Public Library and adjacent dog park will be restricted. Accessible parking will be made available.
Parking around John Peake Park will be busy. We recommend everyone arrives in good time, walks, bikes or carpools, if possible, and is respectful of the surrounding businesses and residents.
