Wild Rose Shows Completes Inspection Prior to Chestermere Summer Carnival
June 12, 2023
Chestermere, AB – The City has received official confirmation that the amusement rides provided by Wild Rose Shows, scheduled to be part of the upcoming Chestermere Carnival, have successfully passed the joint inspections conducted by the Alberta Elevating Devices and Ride Safety Association (AEDARSA) and Occupational Health & Safety, citing Rob Eeglon as the inspector. The City of Chestermere has been actively engaged with Wild Rose Shows and AEDARSA throughout the inspection and clearance process to ensure the safety of all rides.
While some additional rides offered by Wild Rose Shows are still under review by AEDARSA, it is important to note that none of these rides are planned to be present at the Chestermere Carnival.
The Chestermere Carnival promises to be a thrilling and memorable event for everyone. Join us for a weekend of family fun and excitement.
June 9, 2023
Chestermere, AB – As the highly anticipated Chestermere Summer Carnival approaches, City officials are collaborating closely with Wild Rose Shows to ensure a comprehensive inspection of all carnival rides.
The City of Chestermere has been assured that carnival rides are being re-inspected and re-certified by the provincial governing body, the Alberta Elevating Devices and Ride Safety Association as well as Alberta Occupational Health & Safety prior to the opening of the carnival in the City of Chestermere. In light of recent incidents in other municipalities, the two rides in question have been promptly removed from operation.
“The City of Chestermere takes community safety and security very seriously,” said Mayor Colvin “without the appropriate re-certification and approvals, the City of Chestermere will not allow these rides to operate. The safety of our residents is our top priority.”
The Chestermere Summer Carnival is planned to take place at John Peake Park from June 16 – 18, and we look forward to participating in a fun and safe event.
