Improving Healthcare in Chestermere
Salina Bandali has been involved in the pharmaceutical industry for 34 years. From humble beginnings, Salina worked in Calgary, until she decided it was time for her to begin her own journey and started an independent pharmacy in Chestermere.
“They were like – ‘We don’t have zoning for a pharmacy’” Salina recalls of her time opening her business in Chestermere.
Salina’s pharmacy would go on to garner the attention of Shopper’s Drug Mart who would purchase her business and welcome her into the fold, eventually giving her a spot as branch owner and pharmacy manager. Today, with assistance from her staff and her corporate partners, Salina would cut the ribbon to Chestermere’s newest Pharmacy Clinic.
The pharmacy has expanded its services, offering prescriptions for minor illnesses, vaccinations, travel health, women’s health and more – all services that Salina takes pride in offering to the community.
Speaking about the diverse clientele she serves, Salina expressed gratitude, saying, “I have a lot of people from the south-east who come here. Langdon is one of our biggest supporters.”
The grand opening was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by community members, well-wishers, and representation from City Council. The event highlighted not only Salina’s remarkable journey but also the profound positive impact her business can have.
With the opening of this new pharmacy and clinic, we are thrilled to see Chestermere businesses succeed. Congratulations Salina!
