Join us for the Grand Opening of the Steve King Memorial Dog Park this weekend, on October 14th, at 3pm! ๐ถ
Steve King was a Chestermere resident with a vision of harnessing the empathy and calm demeanor of dogs for the betterment of society. Steve’s motto of “helping people, one dog at a time” is a testament to the nature of his work and his desire to help others. Steve was also the President and Founder of Community Therapy Dogs Society, a volunteer with Lions Foundation of Canada and a dog trainer himself.
We invite you to join us October 14 in memory of Steve and recognition of the tremendous work he’s done in our community. Pawsome Pizza will be delivered for our furry friends to enjoy, and digital portraits will also be taken.
You can find the dog park open now for your use and enjoyment at the intersection of Paradise Road and Windermere Drive. Please enjoy this park as Steve would have wanted you too! Thank you as well to the Rotary Club of Chestermere, the Community Therapy Dogs Society, the Chestermere Lions Club and members of the public for your contributions in making this possible.
