
Mayor Colvin was honored to have received the Queen Elizabeth 11 Platinum Jubilee Medal on Tuesday, January 17th, 2022.
The Honorable Salma Lakhani, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, Cathy Heron, the President of Alberta Municipalities and Dan Rude, the CEO of Alberta Municipalities informed Mayor Colvin that he had been nominated by fellow Albertans who felt he should be recognized for his contribution, commitment and dedication to the betterment of his community. The Platinum Jubilee Medal honors those who are dedicated to the service of family, community and country.

Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal was struck to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth 11. In her speech when she was crowned on June 2, 1953, she committed herself to the service of the people and invited her subjects to practice the principles of living in peace, seeking justice and freedom for all. It is noted, through Mayor Colvin’s actions he has helped build a better community, province and nation.
