The City of Chestermere is a beautiful oasis just east of Calgary.
It offers a recreational lifestyle to residents, maintains that family-friendly feel, and is home to hundreds of businesses.
The convenience of Calgary is a double-edged sword. It is great for those that work and commute but can be tough on local businesses.
We are close to a much larger pool of businesses, and an array of choices is just minutes from our City. I get it!! BUT small business is the lifeblood of any community.
The people running these local businesses count on our support.
Many of them are the same people we see out in the community. We know them from church, the arena, or a day at the beach.
So many of our youth organizations count on the sponsorship of local businesses to help fund our kids’ activities. When our hockey and baseball teams require some assistance for their tournaments or other special events, many local businesses step up to the plate.
More than ever, local businesses in Chestermere need our support. If they thrive, we thrive. The benefit of this is not purely financial. Strong local businesses contribute toward a sense of pride and belonging.
